Commentary

For walking down sidewalks to getting in your parked car at night there is always a danger of someone or something happening to you. Security is a major factor for college campus. Anywhere from surveillance cameras to emergency button stations there are a number of things that could be done to help the everyday student feel safer. All over the campus there are places the student or teacher can get conferrable with their surroundings. A statistic from ABC news says in 2005 “there were 35,000 reported crimes in just one year on college campus.” Here at UCF there have been 2 reported attacks happen in just one week to the same person.
